The Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) is organised by the Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST) with the cooperation of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
CIAST first conducted the TCTP in January 1993. The first course was Fuel Injection System Servicing. It marked the beginning of CIAST as one of the training providers for technical cooperation under JICA. To date, CIAST has conducted 71 international courses for 780 participants and 230 courses for 305 participants under the TCTP.
