BACKGROUND

Programme of Skills Instructor Development (PPK)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Programme of Skill Instructor Development at the Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST) established in 2008 with the aim of enhancing the skills of workers in the private and public sectors.<\/p>\n

\n

UNIT OF NEW INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT (UPPPB)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
    \n
  • Plans and manages the new students enrolment for three courses of the National Instructor Training Programme (NITP) : Advanced Diploma for Vocational Instructor (DLPV), Malaysian Skills Certificate plus Vocational Training Instructor Certificate (SKMT3 + VTO) and Vocational Training Instructor (VTO) Certificate.<\/li>\n
  • Manages and supervises on-the-job training\/industrial training.<\/li>\n
  • Manage student affairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    UNIT OF SKILLS ENHANCEMENT MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL CONTROL (UPPKT)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
      \n
    • Plans and manages modular and customised courses and international training programmes.<\/li>\n
    • Plans and manages New Appointment of Vocational Training Officer (PLV) Enhancement Courses.<\/li>\n
    • Manages and coordinates matters related to students’ final examinations.<\/li>\n
    • Manages and coordinates the External Verifier (PPL) and Technical Advisor Committee (TAC).<\/li>\n
    • Coordinates accreditation matters related to Department of Skills Development (JPK) systems.<\/li>\n
    • Manages Malaysian Skills Certificate and CIAST certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      UNIT OF ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC ,UNIT OF MECHATRONIC, UNIT OF COMPUTER, UNIT OF WELDING, UNIT OF AUTOMATIVE AND UNIT OF MANUFACTURING
      \n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
        \n
      • Handle long-term training programmes : DLPV and SKMT3 + VTO<\/li>\n
      • Handle advanced skills training programmes through modular and customised courses and international training programmes.<\/li>\n
      • Handle New Appointment of PLV Enhancement Course.<\/li>\n
      • Manage expertise development training for instructors in their respective fields.<\/li>\n
      • Coordinates instructional materials, examination questions, external verifier assessment, equipment and traning facilities according to the corresponding fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        UNIT OF VOCATIONAL METHODOLOGY

          \n
        • Conducts \u00a0VTO course for Malaysian Skills Certificate (at least Level 3) graduates (pre-service programme).<\/li>\n
