What are the long-term courses offered at CIAST?

CIAST offers:

  1. Advanced Diploma of Malaysian Skills in Vocational Instructor (DLPV) courses in the field of Mechatronics, Electronics, Welding, Automotive, Computer (Systems), Computer (Networks) and Production.
  2. Malaysian Skills Diploma with Vocational Instructor Certificate (DKM+VTO) Level 4 (Electronics, Mechatronics, Production, Welding, Automotive, Computer Systems and Computer Network).
  3. Vocational Instructor Certification (VTO) I-031-3:2014 Level 3, Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma with Vocational Instructor Certificate (DLKM+VTO) Level 5.
I have a Diploma in Malaysian Skills (DKM) level 4 and VTO, can I continue training for level 5 (DLKM) at CIAST?

Yes, you can join the DLKM program (level 5) at CIAST.

I am a SPM graduate. May I continue training at CIAST?

No, CIAST does not offer courses for SPM graduates.

How do I apply for training at CIAST?

Applications can be made through online applications, the e-Permohonan on the CIAST website throughout the year or refer to the website from time to time.

Can an application for further study at CIAST be made through UPU?
Yes. May refer to recruitment advertisement if application is opened via UPU.
Is the enrolment process at CIAST necessarily through an interview?

Yes. All candidates who apply for long-term courses must undergo an interview.Only candidates who succeed in the interview and fulfil all the stipulated entry requirements qualify for enrolment in the course applied for.

When will the enrolment results to CIAST be notify to applicants?

Entry results will be notify to successful applicants within one month prior to registration date via sms as well as on CIAST website.

Are graduates from Polytechnic, IPTA and Public University allowed to attend long courses at CIAST?

Graduates from the Polytechnic, IPTA and public university are not eligible to apply for and attend the long-term course at CIAST starting September 2018.

How much the training fees for CIAST for long-term courses?

Tuition fees for long-term courses at CIAST is free. Only student equipment fees will be charge upon student registration of RM 500 – RM 700 only.

Does CIAST provide tuition allowance to students pursuing long term courses?

CIAST provides monthly tuition allowance to students for long-term courses. The allowance payment is for accommodationand dining expenses throughout the study period.

Does CIAST provide hostels for long-term students?

Yes, CIAST provides hostel facilities for long-term students. Newly enrolled students are required to stay in the hostel for one semester.

I was unable to attend the VTO interview for a good reason. Can I still apply for the next admission?

Yes, applicants can still apply for the next entry session through the e-Permohonan system.

If the original copy of the Skill Instructor Diploma (DPV) CIAST is missing. What actions should I take?

How do I check if I am eligible to attend an interview?

CIAST will send you alerts via text or check on the CIAST website at least two weeks before the interview date.
