MALAYSIAN SKILL DIPLOMA WITH VOCATIONAL TRAINING OFFICER CERTIFICATE (DKM + VTO)
COURSE OBJECTIVE
The training programme aims to produce competent instructors who possess the Malaysian Skills Diploma in specific fields as required in Act 652 (National Skills Development Act).
FRAMEWORK FOR TRAINING:
- The duration for the implementation of the course is 2 years ½ month, i.e. including classroom learning for the Malaysian Skill Certificate Level 4 Course of 1 year 3 months (core subjects 1 year and industrial training 3 months) and the Vocational Training Officer Certificate Course (VTO) of 9½ months (Vocational Methodology of 3½ months and internship of 6 months).
- Those who successfully complete the courses will be awarded the Malaysian Skill Diploma and the MALAYSIAN SKILL CERTIFICATE VOCATIONAL TRAINING OFFICER LEVEL 3 by the Department of Skill Development.

- Malaysian Skill Diploma with Vocational Trainer Certificate in Mechatronic Technology
- Malaysian Skill Diploma with Vocational Trainer Certificate in Manufacturing Technology
- Malaysian Skill Diploma with Vocational Trainer Certificate in Automotive Technology
DURATION OF TRAINING:
2 years ½ month
ENTRY CONDITIONS:
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens between 20 and 35 years.
They must have
a) SPM or SPMV with a pass in Malay and History (for SPM candidates from 2013 onwards); and
b) at least the Malaysian Skill Certificate Level 3 in a relevant NOSS.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Those who successfully complete the courses can apply for positions as vocational instructors in public or private skill training institutes.
