What is an induction course?

Kursus Induksi Pentauliahan Persijilan Kemahiran Malaysia (KIPPKM) is the basic introduction to the implementation of Sistem Persijilan Kemahiran Malaysia (SPKM). It is a condition that must be met for any individual who wishes to be certified as SPKM personnel such as Pegawai Penilai (PP), Pegawai Pengesah Dalaman (PPD) or Pengurus Pusat Bertauliah (PPB). These induction courses are conducted for two days face-to-face/online by CIAST or registered organiser.

There are three (3) categories of courses offered:-

1. PP-PPD-PPB Induction Course
2. PPL Induction Course
3. PPT Induction Course

PP-PPD-PPB Induction Course provides an understanding of SPKM basics and is a requirement that must be met in order to be appointed as SPKM personnel such as Pegawai Penilai (PP), Pegawai Pengesah Dalaman (PPD), Pengurus Pusat Bertauliah (PPB) and Pegawai Pengesah Luaran (PPL).

PPT Induction Course gives participants an understanding of certification through the PPT method. It is also one of the conditions to be appointed as  Pegawai Pengesah Luaran Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPL-PPT).

PPL Induction Course explains the duties, responsibilities and work ethics when performing external verification and assessment at the workplace/ Certified Center. This course must be attended by the appointed Pegawai Pengesah Luaran Sistem Latihan Program Bertauliah (PPL-SLaPB) and Pegawai Pengesah Luaran ADI Perantisan (PPL-ADI Perantisan). For the PPL Induction Course, participants need to meet the pre-requisite of having successfully attended the PP-PPD-PPB Induction Course.

What is the eligibility of induction course participants?

Eligibility of participants for all Induction courses is as follows:-

1. Aged 18 years and over
2. Malaysian citizen; or
3. Permanent Resident (PR).

How to join the Induction course?

Registration must be done through a registered organizer based on the Course Organization Schedule which can be found on the CIAST website >COURSE>SHORT TERM (INDUCTION COURSE) >KIPPKM SCHEDULE.

How much is the participant fee?

The participation fee charged by the organizer for each participant cannot exceed RM 350.00 per person.

If you have completed the induction course but have not received the certificate. How can I check the issuance status?

SIjil Kursus Induksi is issued in digital format to participants who have passed. You can check its status at www.myspike.my  ( Bahagian Profil Pengguna>Maklumat Kursus Induksi)
